I'm intrigued, Gabi, being genuinely unfamiliar with snow. We visit 'the snow' when it's there and so never get to see it melt.

This says it for me. Much as I don't like snow as much as I did when I was younger, I actually look forward to it as January wears on because it covers up the ol' dirty stuff.
