bright moon

a bright moon
right above me . . .
cold winter night

December 27, 2009

we are heading for a full moon night on December 31, but there is snow in the weather forecast ...

Gabi san ,
Thank you for your nice haiku.

On the very last day of this year the moon will come over our head.

Isn’t it wonderful !!
If it will be fine, I enjoy it so much, I will surely get out under the moon in the coldest air.

And shout “ Gabi san !! Can you see the cold moon at Okayama? “

Gabi san,
On18 o’clock of 30th December, I come near to my house.
Look at the sky!
I found the full moon in east sky.
As you said, I can see the full moon on my head at yesterday’s night.

Thank you Sakuo san,
we have clouds in the sky and rain .. no moon tonight.
December30 in Okayama.

Gabi sensei,

To share with your bright moon:

somehow out of place
this thirteenth night so cold
a young blue goose

sweeping away
this old drifted snow
a new year' moon

We are a long distance apart, though we can share the moon.
So far, in fact, I should begin now;
"Haalloooo, Sakuo..."

Happy New Year!

Thanks, Bandit !!
We have snow right now (it is six in the morning of 31)
and more snow to come ... maybe no moonlight later on .. ???

lighting the revellers
from the old to the new --
full moon

after the fireworks --
the moonlit silence of
new year’s night

Greetings and best wishes for the new year to Gabi, Sakuo and all who visit here!
