pulling weeds ...
a centipede hides under

the stone Buddha



This Buddha is rather a small statue in a corner of my garden and when I lifted him up to clear away the weeds, there was a huge centipede there, grinning at me !

The messenger (retainer) of the deity Bishamonten was thought of as a centipede!
