Goodness, Gabi! My first reaction was 'drink your tea with dignity, then drop into your bed unceremoniously!' Hehehe ...

early spring evening ...
the soft clink of teacups
on saucers

first sip of tea
outside near the bushes
the first cicadas

on the teacup
a bouquet of flowers ...
March moon

Hi Ella,
with the Japanese Tea Ceremony, there are sooooo many do's and dont's, just like with haiku.
He wants his students (after learning the basics very thoroughly and hard) to forget all this and just drink their tea with all the natural dignity they can muster ... and enjoy !

This reminds me of what I read in one of J Krishnamurthy's book.
Not the actual words but . . .

He says if we, human beings can die like a leaf, which just drops off in a dignified manner...
