ReplyDeletebreathtaking scenery, dear Gabi!
Lovely, Gabi. Is this a photo you took--recently--near your home? Love the red peaking out among the green and haze!

Paradise is right...very nice photo.
ReplyDelete'splendour' is used to perfection.
You know I did'nt think that the photo and verse were blissfully married at all but the link is an emotional one. Nice

Beautiful part of the world you live in, Gabi!

You have more mountain than I do. But otherwise, how alike the landscape seems.
ReplyDeleteI really like this haiku. Fall colors have always been a favorite. Ours were lovely this year, but they are fading now. Your ku picks up on that perfectly.

Lovely photos, Gabi, reflecting the peaceful beauty of your area.

The picture of persimmons (are they?) and the cemetary is magical and deserves a haiku. Or an enchanted tale of someone who takes a bite of a magic (or haunted) persimmon.
ReplyDeleteThanks, anonymous friend.
ReplyDeleteIt is the private graveyard of our estate, and yes, they are persimmons.
I wrote this in Japanese
namu amida
namu amida butsu
namu amida
to express my feelings of this sacred morning scene.
Gabi
Gabi,
ReplyDeleteI really like the persimmon picture and plan to print it out and stow it away with the one of the rain coming down from the roof. Combined that with what I think is your finest haiku --the rain on the roof teaching the amida prayer. And the amida prayer is in the persimmon pix too!
Can't remember my log in, that's why I am anon. Actually, I am benbarba, the lone wanderer lover.
Thanks benbara, for your appreciation.
ReplyDeleteYes, the Amida Prayer very often comes up in my landscape here ...
Now be on your way, lone wanderer !
Whenever you post pictures of your view, I'm always astonished at the beauty, Gabi.
ReplyDeleteThe photo haiku with the tombstones is very effective.

"colors / and sunshine":
ReplyDeleteUsually, I'd expect (demand?) objects, but this conveys that sense of wonder in which the world of objects dissolves itself into its elements.

A lovely, economical image, Gabi.
