I have been observing HIM for quite a few weeks now, hanging in mid-air down from the roof. It must be a HIM, withstanding some rather strong gales and the first frost this morning ...

  4. We saw few of these spiders earlier this year here. I think the draught has cut the mosquito and insect population down, so, the food source for spiders diminish and thus the spider population too.

  5. This is such a beautiful haiku, Gabi san -- both in visual image, and in wording. One of the best spider haiku I've ever read :)

In my rock garden, spiders began hiding between rocks since the cold days coming...

    autumn deepens ...
a spider web in the hole
    between two rocks

    Beautiful, Gabi!

    ..........

Lovely haiku and stunning photo., Gabi.

So it's an orb weaver of some kind. I think it's a 'she'. Those old woman spiders have taught us humans a thing or two.

    Hello, Gabi,

Yes, a stunning photo. I love seeing spider webs glistening in the sun.

Beautiful haiku, Gabi. While the photo is lovely, the haiku stands very well on its own.

  10. Hi Gabi,

I love the haiku and photo. Everyone is cocooning and nesting to stay warm these days, and this image of airiness and light makes me feel warm!

This haiku has such a hopeful feeling for me.
    Best, from Nagoya !

Thanks my friend and stay warm !
